JACS
Bushey JACS brings together senior members of the community in order to enjoy the mutual benefits of companionship, outings, and to be entertained by celebrities from all walks of life who can both entertain and reminisce thus stimulating wide ranging views.
Recent visitors have included Lady Jacobovitz, Phil Lee who entertained us with stories of the Andrew Sisters, Howard Robbins of Toast Master Fame, with his life and encounters, Bettina Le Beau who described “happiness” and here memorable life on stage, film and TV with personalities like Benny Hill.
The 16th birthday party of JACS was celebrated with a lunch and visit from the Mayor and Mayoress of Hertsmere, Councillor and Mrs Saunders.
Chanukah was celebrated with after noon tea, lighting of the candles with Rabbi Salasnik and entertainment from the boys from JFS.
 A most interesting day was spent with a visit to the Houses of Parliament, which included meeting Lord Janner.
Earlier in the year a day out at Ascot Races proved very successful.
Shortly JACS will meet with other communities in Bournemouth for a short holiday.
Many other outings and visits are scheduled for all to enjoy. |
