Don’t let them go hungry this summer

US Chesed are asking for donations to be made to local food banks (including GIFT)

The summer holidays are, for many, a time to relax and unwind after a tough year at school. However, for as many as 3 million children in the UK it is no picnic as they are at risk of being hungry over the summer holidays. With no school meals to rely on, they may not even have a hot meal during the summer break.

US Chesed are asking for donations to be made to local food banks (including GIFT) so that these children won’t go hungry. A big purple Chesed collection box is located at the bottom of the stairs in the Shul foyer for donations.

Items that are particularly in need include tinned vegetables/fish, rice, sugar, cereals, long life fruit juice/squash/milk and multi-packs of crisps and biscuits. Please give as much as you can.
