TnT is an innovative new approach to Jewish learning. It is a fantastic opportunity for your child to come and have fun, learning about Jewish values and idea in an informal setting with dynamic teachers.

It is open to everyone, whether you are a regular attender or rarely visit Bushey Synagogue.

1) Jewish Concepts

In this session we will discover together different Jewish ideas and concepts. We will inspire and enthuse, instilling a breadth and depth of Jewish thought and using it to tackle modern day problems.

Through the forum of an interactive discussion led by the teacher we will challenge modern concepts of love, friendship, war, education, bullying, life after death (..and much more!) with the old-age Jewish values.

2) Chill Out Zone

This will be followed by the Chill Out Zone

Here the TnT gang will have a chance to play X-Box on the big screen, socialise in the youth lounge and have fun.

Crisps, drinks, sweets, biscuits and all the regular nosh will also be supplied.

3) MTV

We have imported from America the cutting edge of educational resources with our highly successful MTV program.

Excerts of the latest Holywood blockbusters (including Harry Potter, Truman Show, The Matrix) are shown with thought-provoking story lines. This lends itself for a discussion on what has, should and could of happened from a Jewish point of view. Source sheets are distributed and together we learn the depths of Jewish law, customs and outlooks on many important issues.

The children often leave inspired and excited, awaiting the next session of TnT.

Term Dates
TnT will take place on Sunday mornings for three terms starting in September, with a half term in the middle. The provisional dates are as follows.
Winter Term: 9th Sep - 16th Dec
(16th/23rd Sept Yom Tov, 21st/28th Half term)
Spring Term: Jan 13th - 30th Mar
(Half term 11th/18th Feb)
Summer Term: 4th May - 13th July
(Half term 1st June)

Assessment
At the end of each term of TnT there will be a short assessment so we can see how each member of TnT is progressing. There will also be an ongoing assessment based on attendance, participation and other criteria.
With the completion of the Tnt program, students will be offered the chance to proceed to a GCSE in Jewish studies in Year 9.
