Rabbi Salasnik at Princess Alexandra

Rabbi Salasnik conducted his farewell Kiddush at the Princess Alexandra Home last Friday afternoon. He was presented with a certificate from Jewish Care, which thanked him for his “valued commitment and contribution to Jewish Care and in particular to the residents of Princess Alexandra.” There was then a presentation made, from the residents and staff of the home, of an engraved paperweight, which they assume that Rabbi Salasnik could put to good use, when working near an open window in his home in Israel, to prevent his papers blowing away in the breeze. It was engraved with the words, “Presented to Rabbi Meir Salasnik, in recognition of the help and support so readily given to Princess Alexandra Home, 2002 to 2016.” Rabbi Salasnik then regaled those present with some of his memories of his visits to the home over the years.
