Outdoor Visits and Activities – John Thei
John always had an insatiable curiosity about people and places and trained as a tour guide in 2004. When, in 2014, he retired from his career in finance, it was time to use his passion for London sites and history. His areas of special interest are early Jewish Communities in London (until 1880) and the Great Fire of London.
He will take groups of Bushey Sage members on visits which will have a range of religious and secular themes. He is currently preparing visits to the Houses of Parliament and a tour of past and present East End synagogues. Future visits will include walking tours of London, visits to RHS Wisley, and Waddesdon Manor.
Your outings with John will be fun and full of interest. His aim is to allow you to go at a pace that allows you to see the sights and smell the flowers.
John will arrange that as far as is possible outings will be suitable for those with mobility problems. Venues such as stately homes and walking tours may well be difficult for some people, so John is happy to discuss requirements with individual members prior to booking.
